Pro Plan is specially formulated to be ‘stone neutral’ – which means that a cat’s urine is pH controlled to prevent the formation of bladder stones. The balance is crucial: if her urine is too acidic, calcium oxalate stones can form, too alkaline and struvite stones will result. Either type of stone can be problematic, as they can measure up to 1cm in diameter and could obstruct the urinary tract.
