Dogs and Cats have evolved over the aeons to eat and thrive on a fresh, raw meat diet. They would naturally predate small to medium sized animals - usually vegetable eaters - eating them whole (except probably the fur and feathers). This makes feeding your Pet a raw meat diet a healthy and natural alternative to the more common processed food diets we feed. There are quite a few different ways you can do this - it's important to understand the needs of the animal and how to best satisfy them.
Cats are 'obligate carnivores'. This means they must eat raw meat in order to lead a healthy life. Their digestive system has been fine-tuned to eat meat and small amounts of grain and vegetable matter. and do much better on a higher protein diet than dogs. That makes high protein meats like Kangaroo ideal for your cat to eat. They also need some supplemental proteins like taurine that naturally occur in their prey.
They don't do well on highly grain based diets. Their digestive systems lack the enzymes needed to break down grains like wheat and corn making them of poor benefit to the cat.
Dogs are omnivores - that means they need meat and vegetable matter to thrive. They will naturally graze on grasses, raid the veggie patch - we even have a customer with a dog that climbs the apple tree to get the ripe fruit! Getting the balance between meat and vegetable right is important for a long and healthy life.
Although we stock and recommend pre-made mixes that convert fresh meat into entire healthy diets, many people grate up veggies, add brewers yeast, fish oils and other essential ingredients. Others cook up a meat stew for their pets that sees their animals live a long and happy life.
Whatever your choice, we offer a large selection of fresh meat and bones for you to make up into your pet's favourite meal.

Vet's All Natural make 2 great diets - Complete Mix and Premium Choice. The Complete Mix is a unique blend of low temperature air dried fruit, veggies, rolled oats, yeast and many other essential ingredients. Add water and let the mix soak for 12 hours and then mix it in with fresh meat. The soaking process does a couple of things. Firstly, it rehydrates all the ingredients. Secondly, it starts a fermentation process which makes the grains and veggies easier to digest. Premium Choice is a blend Complete Mix and fresh of kangaroo meat in a convenient long-life pack and comes in a variety of formulas.
